Events of the fourth edition of the African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) continue on its fifth day at the exhibition hall located in the Port of Algiers – Algiers, where the tourism and traditional handicrafts sector pavilion attracted a significant number of official delegations and African and foreign tourism operators, in the context of discussions on cooperation and partnerships in the field of cross-border tourism.

Among the key events hosted at the Pavilion:
🔹 A Rwandan delegation led by the Rwandan Ambassador to Algeria, accompanied by representatives from the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and Rwandan investors, with participation from the Algerian side:

  • The General Director of the Hotel, Tourism and Metal Bath Complex (GHTT)

  • Director General of the National Tourism Office (ONT)

  • Director General of the National Agency for Tourist Real Estate (ANFT)

The meeting addressed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries and partnership opportunities, proposing the signing of a cooperation agreement for integration and experience exchange, as well as the development of joint tourism routes.

🔹 Ms. Marguerite Kanka, representative of the African Union, where opportunities for cooperation in the field of sustainable tourism and the support provided by the institution in this area were discussed.

🔹 Zambian tourism agency representatives, discussing partnership and cooperation opportunities between Algeria and Zambia.

📌 The Pavilion welcomed a significant number of African participants who expressed interest in learning about Algeria's tourism destination, with organized tourism outings planned at the Algiers region level for their benefit.
