Algeria, Africa’s guest of honour at the Handicrafts Fair in Milan

Algeria is a guest of honor in Africa at the 28th edition of the International Forum for Traditional Industries in Milan, Italy.

Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Ms Houria Meddahi, will begin an official visit to Milan, Italy, from November 30 to December 2, 2024, to oversee Algeria's role as a distinguished guest, under the theme "Africa Continent," at the 28th edition of the International Handicrafts Fair in Milan, Italy, which will run from November 30 to December 8, 2024, featuring participation from more than 100 countries.

This important international date will be added to the record of Algerian-Italian cooperation in the fields of tourism and handicrafts, a cooperation that has seen a steady pace in line with the strong will of both countries to develop fruitful collaboration across all fronts.

It will also reflect the deep-rooted cultural proximity between the peoples of the two countries, built on a principle of mutual understanding and respect.

On the other hand, Algeria's participation in this international event will highlight the historical and friendly ties that link the two countries, Algeria and Italy, ties that are strengthened at every opportunity through the will of their leaders.

This international fair represents a bridge for communication among different peoples, allowing the promotion and presentation of Algeria's cultural heritage through the skills and creativity of Algerian artisans and artists participating with over 80 artisans and craft specialties.

The participation of Algerian artisans will undoubtedly offer visitors to the "Algeria Pavilion" a unique opportunity to closely discover the beauty and excellence of Algerian products, crafts, and artistic works created by Algerian artisans, expressing the authenticity and cultural, artistic, and historical identity of the vast Algerian nation.
