Statement of Algeria's Participation in the MITT Moscow Fair 2025

Press statement

In line with the activities program of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts derived from the Tourism Development Strategy for the 2030 outlook, specifically concerning the upgrading of Algerian tourism destinations, Algeria will participate, through the National Tourism Office, entrusted with tourism development, alongside a delegation of tourism operators representing the National Algerian Tourism Office (ONAT), the Algerian Tourism Club (TVA), private travel agencies, and artisans, at the 31st edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair "Mitt Moscow," to be held in Moscow, Russia, from March 18 to 20, 2025.

Algeria's participation in this event aims to implement the sector's work program intended to promote Algeria as a destination on the international level and to highlight the country's tourism and cultural assets, particularly given the good bilateral relations between Algeria and Russia.

Note: This event is a key destination for tourism, offering visitors the opportunity to discover vacation possibilities and serving as a platform for professional networking between experts and stakeholders from around the world.

This event also attracted significant participation from professionals and a wide audience, with the previous edition featuring over 909 exhibitors from 192 countries, and more than 16,120 visitors, including professionals in tourism and the general public, across a total exhibition area of 57,000 m².

To highlight Algeria's tourism image and enable our stakeholders to perform their duties under the best conditions, a dedicated exhibition booth has been set up, fully equipped with the necessary tools and resources for carrying out promotion and marketing activities for our tourism products and to enhance their visibility.

The Algerian Pavilion is designed to highlight Algeria's architectural artistic identity, adorned with intricate decorations and featuring diverse images combining paintings of coastal and desert tourism, cultural scenes, and various historical sites. It includes a set of display screens broadcasting a range of promotional films aimed at enhancing Algeria's tourism destinations, showcasing the country's rich diversity in tourism products. Additionally, 3D technology is used to present photos and videos of historical sites and museums through virtual tours.

To ensure continuous vitality at the Algerian Pavilion throughout the exhibition days, artisans in the field of traditional crafts will conduct live workshops to attract the largest possible number of visitors to the Algerian Pavilion, showcasing their skill and craftsmanship in the art of producing traditional items rooted in the country's authentic customs and traditions.
