Official opening and Day Two of FITUR Madrid 2026

The second day of FITUR Madrid events saw the official opening of this edition, attended by King Philippe VI and Queen Letizia, alongside a number of high-ranking official figures, including the Spanish Minister of Industry and Tourism, the head of Madrid region, the mayor of Madrid, and the executive team of IFEMA Madrid, as well as the United Nations World Tourism Organization's Director-General, and the Mexican Minister of Tourism, serving as the country's official partner representative for this edition, in addition to widespread attendance from regional Spanish government officials, ambassadors, diplomatic envoys, and international organizations.

At the sidelines of this official opening, the Algerian tourism pavilion continued its intensive activities, attracting significant attention from professionals and media outlets. Several bilateral (B2B) meetings were organized between Algerian tourism operators and their international counterparts, focused on exploring partnership opportunities and enhancing tourism cooperation, while highlighting the diversity of Algeria's tourism offerings.
