Good evening, happy...

#MinisterOfTourismAndHandicrafts resumes monitoring the preparations for the 24th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair to give it its final touches through instructions issued to members of "the International Tourism and Travel Fair Organizing Committee"

Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries chaired on Saturday, May 17, 2025, a working session with members of the "Committee for the Organization of the International Tourism and Travel Fair – the International Tourism and Travel Fair" to resume monitoring the progress of preparations for "the 24th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair," scheduled to be held from July 12 to 15, 2025, at the Exhibition Palace, Port Boule, in order to follow up on the implementation of her latest instructions regarding this matter.

The session began by emphasizing the importance of promoting this international event, giving it due prominence through a planned communication strategy. She highlighted the pivotal role played by the National Tourism Office in promoting this event specifically and all tourism events in the sector generally, urging for intensified efforts to ensure a strong and active attendance at its activities.

On the other hand, from an awareness of the importance of digitization in serving the tourism sector, Madam Minister directed all tourism stakeholders around "the importance of leveraging artificial intelligence applications for promoting Algerian tourist destinations and traditional handicrafts during this International Fair," which she described as "a new touch in tourism promotion," emphasizing during this edition, to avoid traditional, conventional methods.

As I highlighted the effective role of active emerging institutions in the tourism sector, I emphasized the importance of their participation in Salon events and the presentation of specialized tourism offerings by sector institutions and agencies.

On this occasion, Madam Minister reviewed the promotional materials and content prepared by the departmental team, and proposed various modifications regarding both form and content, aiming to promote Algeria's tourism image in the most effective way. She issued directives emphasizing the importance of including elements representing Algeria's natural and tourism potential, highlighting the aesthetic qualities of various tourist destinations, including the rock inscriptions in southern Algeria, the vibrant summer colors symbolizing the joy and beauty of Algerian holidays, and the inclusion of the human element, represented by families and households directly involved in tourism and travel. She also stressed the need to highlight authenticity, tradition, and Algerian heritage—factors that define a distinctive and unique Algerian tourism experience, one that aligns with modernity while preserving Algeria's traditions and authenticity.

Even promotional videos were reviewed by Madam Minister, who ensured the enrichment of their media content by highlighting Algeria's artistic heritage, from traditional attire to traditional Algerian cuisine that captivates visitors and travel enthusiasts, while targeting promotional segments for all tourism destinations, including domestic tourism and inbound tourism aimed at international tourists through a focus on Saharan tourism and preparations for the Saharan tourism season during the salon, which is fundamentally one of the salon's core objectives, without overlooking the written components of these promotional campaigns, where she called for their production in both Arabic and English.

In conclusion, Madam Minister called for the media content of the event to align with the broad outlines of the official slogan, "Travel within Algeria and enjoy authentic, genuine tourism and a rich heritage," by highlighting the authenticity and uniqueness of Algeria's diverse and distinctive tourist destinations.
