As part of the celebrations for World Tourism Day on 27 September 2025, the Tourism and Handicrafts Directorate of the wilaya of Bouira organised a scientific forum on Monday morning, 29 September 2025, in coordination with the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences at Akli Mohand Oulhadj University, under the title:

Cultural tourism as an entry point to enhance Algeria's image as a tourist destination through the use of Artificial intelligence tools.

This forum aimed to highlight and preserve cultural heritage and leverage it as a fundamental pillar for development, while enhancing the status of cultural resources as a central element in achieving sustainable development.

It also aimed to promote a distinctive image of Algeria as a tourist destination at both national and international levels, highlighting the importance of Artificial intelligence as a modern tool contributing to the development of cultural tourism and opening new avenues for marketing and promotion.

The activities of the forum saw the participation of a distinguished group of doctors, university professors, and researchers, who contributed their ideas and scientific experiences to enrich the discussions and highlight various scientific approaches to the subject.

The National Tourism Office also distributed a variety of promotional materials (brochures, leaflets, and maps) for the participants, reflecting the richness and diversity of Algeria's tourist destinations.

The events of the forum received distinguished media coverage from the journalists participating in the exploratory journey, who conveyed the atmosphere of the forum and highlighted the contributions of the professors and researchers, thus helping to expand the event's reach and strengthen its promotional message.

At the close of the exploratory journey, the National Tourism Office extends its heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the success of this event, particularly thanking Madame, Director of Tourism and Traditional Crafts for the wilaya of Bouira, and all members of the Directorate's staff for their support and dedication in ensuring the event's success.

We also extend our thanks to the ONAT institution for its continuous support of protests aimed at promoting Algeria's tourism destinations.
