In accordance with and implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic regarding assets seized pursuant to final judicial rulings, Minister of Tourism and Traditional Handicrafts, Mr. Mokhtar Diodh, convened today, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Ministry's headquarters, a working session with Mr. President General Director of the GHTT (Groupe Hôtelier et Touristique et Thermale), concerning the GHTT's access to assets and properties previously seized within the framework of anti-corruption efforts, based on the outcomes of the most recent session of the State Shareholders Council.

It concerns:

Two hotels located in Algiers have been merged into the Algerian Tourism Management Corporation (EGH EL Djazair).

Two hotels and a tourist complex (Bengalowat) located in Azfoun and Azazac, Tizi Ouzou Province, have been integrated into the Tizi Ouzou Tourism Management Institution (ETK Tizi Ouzou)

· A hotel project at the regional level in Wargla, integrated into the Ghardaia Tourism Management Institution (EGT Ghardaia).

During the meeting, the Minister issued instructions to the President, General Director of the GHTT, in order to take swift action and implement the necessary measures to re-activate the hotel units received, which are now part of the hotel complex of the GHTT, as well as to launch the completion of the hotel facilities currently under construction.
