Within the framework of the activities of the International Tourism and Travel Salon SITEV 2025,

An academic day was organized under the theme:

Digital Innovation in Tourism in Algeria: Innovation with a Spirit of Authenticity", under the supervision of Minister of Tourism and Traditional Crafts #MsHouriaMeddahi, who delivered an opening speech highlighting the importance of digital innovation and the integration of all digital technologies in tourism management and promotion, with the presence of representatives from ministerial sectors, national institutions,

And startups actively involved in the tourism sector.

The forum included several contributions comprising:

Statement by a representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts regarding the digitization of the tourism sector: current situation and prospects.

Statement by a representative of the Ministry of National Defense on Cybersecurity and Supporting the Digital Transformation of Tourism in Algeria.

Statement by a representative of the Ministry of Internal Trade on market regulation regarding e-commerce and its role in promoting Algerian tourist destinations.

Statement by a representative from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups and Small Enterprises regarding the role of startups in developing tourism in Algeria.

Statement by a representative of the HTT complex regarding tourism accommodation between tradition and digitalization

During the second day of the Salon, an Framework Agreement for Partnership and Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups and SMEs to implement the Digital Transformation Program in line with the Government's strategy in this field. Additionally, several agreements were signed between national stakeholders in the tourism sector and some startups. These agreements are expected to significantly contribute to promoting national tourist destinations and leveraging electronic platforms.

This meeting provided an opportunity to showcase experiences and discuss mechanisms for digitizing tourism services, supporting emerging institutions in this field, facilitating electronic payments, and developing booking platforms.
