Algeria's participation in the FITUR Madrid Tourism & Travel Fair

Tourism and Travel Fair "FITUR Madrid"

Within the framework of the tourism and traditional handicrafts sector's participation in the International Tourism Fair "FITUR Madrid," organized from January 21 to 25, 2026, the first day of the fair's activities witnessed a distinguished professional atmosphere and intense engagement.

The Algerian Pavilion attracted significant attention from visitors, tourism professionals, and industry stakeholders, with the Ambassador of Kuwait visiting and touring various tourism features available in Algeria, praising the richness and diversity of the offered tourism offerings, and underscoring the importance of strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries.

This day also featured several professional (B2B) meetings bringing together Algerian tourism operators and their international counterparts, focused on exploring partnership opportunities, developing tourism exchanges, and investigating new avenues for cooperation, all contributing to promoting Algeria's tourism destination and enhancing its global market presence.

The Algerian pavilion also saw the presence of various media outlets that held interviews and discussions with representatives of the National Tourism Office (ONT) and a number of participating tourism operators, aiming to highlight Algeria's tourism offerings and their diverse features.

Traditional handicrafts also attracted visitors' attention, adding a beautiful and distinctive touch to the Algerian pavilion, especially through the display of artistic ceramics, traditional clothing, and various types of jewelry, particularly mother-of-pearl, reflecting the richness and diversity of Algeria's cultural heritage.

We will provide you with all the developments and details of this participation later.
