In the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance Algeria's international tourism image, Minister of Tourism and Traditional Crafts followed the participation of her sector in the World Expo "Osaka 2025," through organizing the "Second Promotion Week for Algeria as a Destination," held from October 1 to 8, 2025.
Madam Minister has placed various bodies under her supervision, including the National Tourism Office, the Algerian National Tourism Office, and the Algerian Handicrafts and Crafts Industry Chamber for Algiers, to ensure the sector's prominent participation in this important global event, which provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Algeria's rich and diverse tourism and cultural assets, to strengthen international cooperation and partnerships, and to reinforce Algeria's image as a promising tourist destination.
The promotional week was also characterized by a diverse range of activities, from exhibitions of artistic and traditional jewelry and authentic Algerian fashion, to special cultural performances featuring Algerian artisans and craftswomen who have excelled in showcasing Algerian cultural and artistic identity.
This, and virtual reality (VR) technology has allowed visitors to the Algerian Pavilion to enjoy a unique experience, enabling them to take a virtual tour to discover the magic and diversity of Algeria, amid widespread public interest and distinguished media coverage.
