Madam Minister emphasized in her opening speech during this event the importance of training in the tourism sector, as it represents a smart investment in human capital, contributing to improving and upgrading services, thus driving the development of the tourism sector. She also highlighted the specialized training that distinguishes graduates from institutions under the sector's supervision, as it combines theoretical, practical, and field-based components, equipping trainees to enter the job market with the necessary experience and competencies.
To address tourism market needs, Madam Minister highlighted cross-sectoral collaboration with other ministerial departments, notably the recent agreement signed with the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, aimed at supporting young graduates from training institutions in entering the business world, establishing small and medium-sized enterprises, and gaining access to digitization within tourism and hotel institutions. She also emphasized her ministry's commitment to supporting artisans and training them in all emerging developments, particularly in digital marketing, promotion, and other modern topics requiring up-to-date knowledge.
Finally, Madam Minister congratulated all the graduates and top performers, wishing them success in their academic paths, and also congratulated their parents on the success and achievement of their children, while urging all pedagogical and administrative staff at the training institutions to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming academic and training cycle, which is not far off.
On this occasion, Ms. Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, together with Mr. Minister of Culture and Arts, awarded the top-performing students from the training institutions by presenting them with certificates and valuable prizes, in recognition of the efforts made throughout the years of training, which resulted in their achieving first place in their respective batches.
On the other hand, the President and General Director of the GHTT (Hotels, Tourism, and Metal Bath Complex) announced the launch of a recruitment drive for top-performing students from each batch, across all tourism units under the complex throughout the country, in recognition of their efforts, a move that received appreciation from Ms. the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Crafts, who praised this initiative.
