Preparations for Edition24 events of the International Tourism & Travel Forum SITEV 2025

Ms. #MyHoorie, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, and members of the organizing committee for the International Tourism and Travel Festival for the year 2025, chaired a working session on Monday, April 06, 2025, at the ministerial level, in the presence of sector stakeholders and institutions under her supervision, following the official appointment of the Salon Governor.

A moment of emphasis was given by #MadamMinister on the importance of this international event, which aims to promote Algerian tourism and highlight the authentic image of #Algeria, its traditions, and its diverse cultural and civilizational components, as well as its various tourist destinations on both the #National and #International levels. She stressed the need to intensify efforts and coordinate closely with all #ThePlayers to ensure the success of this international event, underscoring her commitment to introducing a fresh perspective across all organizational and activity aspects, with a clear vision toward tourism renewal, while emphasizing active and extensive participation from all relevant stakeholders.

In this context, the sector official invited representatives of tourism and travel agencies present at this meeting to ensure a strong presence of tourism agencies promoting Algeria's tourist products and presenting upgraded #TourismOffers for Algerian destinations, with a focus on leveraging the salon to showcase #SaharanTourism through active participation by southern tourism agencies, whose involvement will provide an opportunity to present their offers and promote Saharan tourism, which is considered "the most prominent tourist product".

Then, #MadamMinister reviewed various points on the agenda, which included the organizational aspects of this international event, such as the event's logo, updating the official website for registration, the bodies involved in participation, the financial sponsorship aspect, the communication agency responsible for the media strategy and communication plan, and preparations for foreign participation in coordination with the diplomatic channel.

Three competitions were also proposed during this forum, aligned with the theme of "digitization and media and communication technologies," including "Best Tourist Agency and Travel Agency" and "Best Hotel," both offering digital services by leveraging online booking platforms and modern communication tools to enhance their services for customers or tourists. The "Best Startup" award will recognize a startup actively engaged in digital applications that support tourism development and improve tourism services. Additionally, a competition for "Algerian Home Cooking" will be organized, reflecting the country's heritage, authenticity, and traditions, serving as a mirror of Algerian identity and cultural essence.

Finally, Madame Minister expressed her gratitude to all committee members for their commitment to the success of this important event, and reiterated her instructions regarding the need to intensify collaborative efforts among the committee members responsible for organizing the event, and conveyed her wishes for success to the cultural salon event promoting Algeria's tourism image, serving Algeria's image on both national and international levels.
