May God bless you in the evening....

Celebration of the 70th anniversary of the decisive liberation revolution 1 November 1954

Events of the media-organized exploratory journey dedicated to historical tourism routes continue, with the third stop being the Constantine province, the capital of the second historical province.

During this visit, the press delegation had several tours of numerous tourist and historical sites, accompanied by the Tourism and Handicrafts Directorate of Constantine Province, represented by:

Visit to the Martyrs' Museum in the Constantine region, where the media delegation toured the museum halls and received explanations and information on the history of the Algerian Revolution, the great sacrifices of the Algerian people, and the resistance of the Northern region, the historical second region during the liberation period.

A visit to the memorial site established in 1986, commemorating the martyrdom of Didouche Merad, the historical second regional commander and headquarters of the region, located in the Wad Bokkerrk area outside the urban zone, in Zougoud Youssef commune, Constantine Province. This memorial aims to convey the message of the martyrs and fighters through a sophisticated artistic language, helping to recall and experience the past, given the site's spatial and temporal memory that documents the period of colonial occupation and narrates the Algerian people's resistance and the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs.

The Hanging Bridges of Constantine, where the entire city of Constantine is considered one of Algeria's most important historical landmarks and is nicknamed "the City of Hanging Bridges" for having 8 hanging bridges spanning two elevated rock formations, connecting them. Constantine is also a cultural hub and a guardian of Algeria's authentic heritage.

The suspended bridge of Sidi Messaoud is one of Algeria's most prominent historical landmarks, a bridge spanning the Sand Valley and connecting the eastern and western parts of Constantine city.

The Dead's Monument in Constantine, a historical and cultural landmark located at an elevation of 635 meters on the right bank of Wadi al-Raml, stands proudly as a memorial dedicated to the souls of the city's inhabitants who died in the battlefields during the First World War (1914–1918). The monument consists of a triumphal arch 12 meters high, inspired by the Timgad arch, with a statue of victory atop it resembling a woman with wings, resembling a mythical bird preparing to take flight. In front of the monument is a semi-circular plaza, centered by an informative table detailing the city's locations and surrounding areas, offering visitors a breathtaking panoramic view of Wadi al-Raml.

Ahmed Bey Palace, distinguished by its unique architecture and striking Algerian ornamentation, welcomes a large number of visitors both domestically and internationally and is one of the key landmarks of the historic city of Constantine. This historical palace dates back to the Ottoman era and was built in 1835 during the reign of Ahmed Bey, son of Mohammed al-Sayyid, who was the last Bey of Constantine in the Algerian province before the city fell into French colonial hands in 1837.

Through the three provinces in eastern Algeria: Khenchela, Batna, and Constantine, we discovered several historical tourist routes that can be explored during this blessed month in tribute to the sacrifices and loyalty of our heroes and martyrs.
