A national media tour marking World Tourism Day

In the context of celebrating World Tourism Day on September 27, 2025, under the theme "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation",

The National Tourism Office organized an exploratory trip for representatives of the national media (audiovisual, print, and electronic) in coordination with the Tourism and Traditional Crafts Directorate for the Bouira region.

The first stop was the village of Tsalat, one of Algeria's traditional tourist villages renowned for its traditional architecture and breathtaking mountainous natural environment, where the press delegation had the opportunity to explore the local cultural heritage.

Then, the participants headed to Tijjada area, which is part of the Djurdjura National Park, designated as a natural reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized as one of Algeria's most prominent ecological areas. The journalists enjoyed the stunning natural scenery, including dense forests and rich biodiversity featuring rare plant and animal species, as well as its mountain peaks, which form an ideal setting for ecological and sustainable tourism.

This initiative comes in the context of promoting domestic tourism and highlighting the tourism potential of Bouira Province, while underscoring the importance of sustainable tourism as a tool for preserving natural and cultural resources and passing them on to future generations.
