Algeria participates in the 46th edition of the International Tourism Exchange in Milan

Within the framework of implementing the work program of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, in its component related to enhancing Algeria's tourist destinations, the tourism and handicrafts sector, represented by the National Tourism Office (ONT), will participate, alongside a delegation of tourism operators and artisans, in the 64th edition of the International Tourism Exchange (BIT) Milan 2026, scheduled to take place from February 10 to 12, 2026, at the Viare Milan City venue in the Italian Republic.

The Milan International Tourism Fair "BIT Milan" is one of the most important Tourism events at both regional and international levels, holding a distinguished position among travelers and stakeholders, thanks to Italy's status as a forward-looking and destination-rich tourism market, as well as the participation of tourism policymakers from around the world. The previous edition featured more than 1,100 exhibitors representing 64 countries, alongside thousands of visitors exploring new destinations and discovering innovative, high-quality travel offers.

To ensure quality and effective participation, a dedicated exhibition space has been reserved for the Algerian Pavilion, designed to highlight the architectural and cultural aspects of Algeria's destinations, and equipped with the necessary tools for presentation and promotion, enabling participating stakeholders to carry out upgrades and promote Algeria's national tourism products.

In this context, attention will be focused on highlighting Algeria's distinctive tourism features, particularly the Saharan tourism product that reflects the depth of Algerian identity and its uniqueness, alongside the Roman heritage, which ranks as the second-largest global heritage after Italy, and the religious tourism route, especially the pilgrimage of Saint Augustine, which is gaining increasing interest among Italian tourists.

To add more vitality to the Algerian Pavilion, a number of traditional artisans in the field of artistic handicrafts will participate by showcasing authentic Algerian artistic and craft products that reflect the richness and diversity of the nation's cultural heritage.

The event will also strengthen communication with foreign tourism operators and the media present for event coverage, providing them with all relevant information about Algeria's tourism destinations and promoting them within regional and global tourism markets. A range of videos and photos will be showcased, along with promotional materials distributed to visitors at the Algerian pavilion, enabling them to learn more about the unique features of tourism in Algeria.
